Sustainable Start Home
This page has but one purpose, to document consensus on five ways to begin a new paradigm or world view for our planet. By building consensus on these topics we hope to reach 15 to 20% of all of who are ready for change now and wish sustainability to be a large part of that change. 15-20% would mean that we have reached a critical mass after which the five changes would become a part of most peoples everyday values system and behavior. Most of the input on this site comes from a statement "Beyond the Financial Crisis" carried on by futurists and those interested in the future. Remarks edited by Natalie Dian
Consensus building will occur in two ways.
1. Anyone reading (or writing) a book, article, Internet text etc in which the author is in consensus with any one or all of the five actions can document it in the same way as I have done below. THIS IS ONLY FOR STATEMENTS THAT SHOW CONSENSUS. IF YOU DON'T AGREE THIS IS NOT THE PAGE FOR YOU.
2. Anyone agreeing with any of the five actions can show their agreement by adding the name of the author, a quote, source and page number. Just copy what I have done on the Five equally page. If you have another action to add, please have at least five sources before you put it up. I am working against two deadlines at the moment and will be getting back to you soon. Thanks N
Attention: Each of the five ways to begin a new paradigm have each gotten their own page. If you agree with a particular author or quote, just write "agree" and your initials. N
Abstract We are witnessing perhaps the greatest global financial collapse of all time. A collapse, that perhaps will be long-lasting well into the 21st century. The decisions being made now deal only with halting the slide in the world's economies but what are likely to be the effects of this disruption beyond the current financial crisis? What are the most likely responses and are their other alternatives to economic boom and bust. This briefing is intended for the use of all those in executive positions in business and government to see new opoortunties and risks in the most likely scenarios as they pan out.
